About the role
We are looking to find an Emergency Department NUM for the small town of Leeton. The initial contract will be for 6 weeks, but we expect an extension. The town is a small agricultural town about 5-6 hours West of Sydney that has a population of around 11,000.
The Hospital itself provides a variety of cover including ED, Maternity, Palliative care etc. It is a 71-bed hospital and is a modern and advancing facility.
Duties
As the NUM you will be tasked with the management and smooth running of the Emergency Department. That will include working cohesively with other departments as and when required. As with any NUM position that will include a variety of tasks from rostering to ensuring excellent patient care is delivered.
Requirements
- Must have had NUM experience previously
- Must have Emergency Department experience
- Ideally be Triage trained and competent
- Full working rights in Australia
- AHPRA registration with no restrictions
